Luxury Boudoir Experience in La Porte, TX – Serving Houston, Galveston, and Austin

I feel so very fortunate that the thing that I love most in the world is what I get to do for a living. I pinch myself everyday that my dream studio is now a reality and I know that passion and joy rubs off into my work.
 

Photographing women is what I live for. For me, a day off is something I make myself do to avoid getting exhausted, but the whole day I'm just thinking about the next time I get to hold a camera in my hands again. You could say I'm obsessed, and you'd be right. I'll own it. 

I love shooting boudoir because I love creating this experience for women. So many of my clients say things like "I'm not good in front of the camera" or "I'm not photogenic" or "there's no way I could do those poses or make those faces". And every single one of them is wrong. I love showing them this secret siren hidden just under the surface, because we ALL have one. Some women just need a little help drawing her out.That's what I'm good at. This is my superpower.

I think women are so beautiful and I love being one! We have these amazing curves and I find it so fascinating how these tiny little changes in our posture or position, shifting our hips one direction, or arching our backs can make these curves even more exaggerated, or how a tiny tilt of the camera, or a certain lens I choose can accentuate those curves, make things looks bigger or smaller. Over the last 14 years I've spent countless hours studying posing, lighting, and directing from the world's top boudoir and beauty photographers. I've learned how to accentuate the curves of every body type and how to keep my clients relaxed and having fun during their session.  


When I don't have a camera in my hand I'm usually cuddled up to my amazing husband Steven, who I'm still head over heels in love with after 9 wonderful years. 

Steven and I are a a blended family, we each have a kid (or in his case, 3) from previous marriages...and Hunter, our amazing studio manager, is his daughter!  Steven is 11 years older than me, and starting to look like a silver fox, so people often think he's my dad, which we both find hilarious. But when Steven and I first started dating he told me we can date and have fun together, but that he'd never get married again.

Challenge accepted.

I did a boudoir session and gave him the album...Yeah he proposed two weeks later. He'll be the first one to tell you why. He liked it, so he put a ring on it. 

I realized then to never underestimate the power that our curves can have.

Hunter is the cool one...the entertainment...and the sweetest human being you'll ever meet. Technically she's my stepdaughter, but that's certainly not our relationship😂.

When I knew it was time to expand my staff, I knew I needed a woman who was dependable, hardworking, a die hard feminist, and someone who could put people at ease and be their biggest cheerleader. Hunter was my first and only choice. Somehow I convinced her to move 1000 miles away from home and start a new life, new job, and new adventure here in Houston, Texas! And it was the best decision I could have made!

I was shocked (although I shouldn't have been) at how fast Hunter mastered showing clients the poses. These are things that took me a decade to learn that she picked up within 6 months...So I put a camera in her hand! She has been KILLIN IT ever since, and now is officially training to be an associate photographer!

Hunter is currently engaged to her fiance Blade (I know right? Hunter + Blade sounds so badass!)and they love cats, music festivals, being outdoors, camping, and going on adventures.
